Binge Drinking

April 20, 2019

According to the CDC, “binge drinking is the common, costly, and deadly pattern of excessive alcohol use in the United States.” Binge drinking is defined as consuming 5 or more drinks for men or 4 or more drinks for women on one occasion. Data from the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System show that most individuals under age 21 that report consuming alcohol are binge drinking. The CDC has excellent resources to learn more about the health consequences.
