Iceland dramatically reduced alcohol consumption among youth from 42% in 1998 to 5% in 2016. The program in Iceland involves parents and kids. Existing community resources are enhanced to give kids healthy alternatives and strategies to deal with stress. The CDC just awarded a grant to West Virginia University Prevention Research Center to implement the Icelandic model of prevention. Find out more here:
