On August 22, 2019, the TN Dept. of Health issued a press release urging healthcare providers to report cases of vaping-associated respiratory illness. This request is based ongoing surveillance by the CDC of severe pulmonary disease in persons who use e-cigarettes or vape. Over 150 cases in 16 states have been reported.
